St Peter's Church is a Church of England Church situated in the centre of Whetstone in Church Lane, nearly opposite the Post Office.
At St. Peter's we have the following Mission Statement :-
"AS THE CONGREGATION OF THE PARISH OF ST. PETER'S, WHETSTONE, WE COMMIT OURSELVES TO WORKING TOGETHER TO EXTEND THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN OUR COMMUNITY AND WORLD-WIDE."
From this we have produced an Action Plan with two main headings :
"KEEPING CHRIST AT THE CENTRE OF OUR LIVES AND LIVING BY HIS TEACHINGS."
"SERVING CHRIST IN OTHERS AND OFFERING HIS LOVE TO ALL."
We are always delighted to welcome visitors. From our own experiences we know what this is like to be a newcomer. Don't be frightened to ask for help. Don't just sit at the back out of the way. We are all there as a "Family of God" to worship together. Please make yourself known.
After the Service there is Coffee /Tea /Squash & if you can get there before the children, biscuits. There is no charge only a donation if you want to give one. This will give us time to meet each other.
Our Main Services are :-
Sunday 9.45 am Junior Church in our Parish Centre.
10.00am Parish Eucharist.
1st Sunday Parish Eucharist. 9.30 am. All Age Service. 10.45 am
Wednesday 9.15 am Holy Communion
For our Special Services, please look at out Special Events page.
If you would like us to say a prayer for you, we have a Prayer Tree in the church for your prayer. Alternatively, please contact the Vicar,Assistant Priest or a Church Warden.
Please feel free to light a candle for someone.
We are a living church seeking to show God's love made known in Jesus for people of all ages.
