The Leicester Orphean orchestra is a community orchestra based in the east of Leicester.
Our mission is to provide opportunities for members of the local community to play music together in a friendly atmosphere.
The main orchestra rehearses on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7.30pm until about 9.pm. We play a wide range of music from popular classics to show music.
Our training orchestra practices on Saturday mornings from 11am until around 12.30pm, Tuesday and Thursdays from 3.45pm until around 5pm after school or from 11am in school holidays.
We play at a wide range of events from garden fetes, weddings, scout camps to formal prom concerts! Our events are estimated to have raised over £150 000 for other community groups both locally and nationally.
All standards of musician are welcome to join us. No audition is required.
