Welcome to Thringstone local news and views web site.
Thringstone is situated near the town of Coalville in North West Leicestershire, in the National Forest.
It is the intention to update this site as and when information is received.

It was in 1901 that the Booth Family Bought a house on The Green, for the social activities of the village, extended it over the next 10 years and Endowed it in 1911, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PEOPLE OF THRINGSTONE and surrounding areas.
It was originally called Thringstone House, now known as Thringstone Community Centre. This great gift is a centre of village life to this day.
