Charnwood Concert Bands

Loughborough's longest-established group of wind bands, Charnwood Concert Bands started in 1995 as an offshoot from Charnwood Music Tuition. Originally formed as a response to student demand, membership and skill increased until, in 1997, a second band was formed and later, a third.
Currently there are three ability-based bands with a combined membership of over seventy. Players come from across North Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, the City of Leicester and beyond.
The bands have many connections with the local community and perform throughout the year in and around the Charnwood area as well as further afield in Leicester. In recent years, the bands have performed around Europe, and a combined concert band has recently undertaken a very successful tour of Belgium.
