Castle Donington F.C.
Welcome to Castle Donington FC Website

Welcome to the Castle Donington FC, an FA Charter Standard Community Club.

We are a village based club, run by volunteers, situated in the northwest of Leicestershire close to the Derbyshire county border, catering for both boys, girls, mens and ladies teams.

We aim to run teams, in the Junior section, in F.A. affiliated leagues in age groups from Under 7's up to 18years of age.

We also have a coaching course called "The Soccer School", which runs from May to September, that caters for 5 to 12 year olds.

The 5-7 year olds have a Soccer School that runs for most of the year.

We are now into our 30th year as a club.

The club has gradually progressed over the years, in terms of coaching, organisation, child protection etc., which has now culminated in the club being awarded The F.A. CHARTER STANDARD COMMUNITY STATUS.

Only a handfull of clubs have reached this level,(which is the pinnacle of FA awards), in Leicestershire, and is a great achievement for the club.

To meet the standards required for FA Community status, the club has to have links with senior sides, for the future progression of the youngsters, as well as all the other critera that the club has met to go through the FA Charter Standard, and then, Developement Club progression.

The club decided that the best course of action was to form its own senior sides.

This we have done over the last few years with the formation of a ladies side and two mens sides, providing Saturday and Sunday league football.

The club also has formed a Veterans Side comprising men over forty tears of age who hope to compete in a friendly league this year.

This transformation and expansion of the club has lead to a change in name to CASTLE DONINGTON FC.

The youngsters under the age of 18yrs will be part of the Junior Section which will still be the major part of the club.

This means that a youngster starting at the age of 5yrs. can hopefully play their football with the club until they retire from the game!
